Theo had a fill-in caregiver yesterday. I don’t really worry about a stranger-to-him looking after him anymore. When he was a baby, I was pretty uptight about it. Babies are different. Baby skills are a whole different thing. But now, I think that if you are a cool person who is game to run after a toddler and be goofy, he’ll like you. And, you know, why wouldn’t a babysitter love Theo?

This one did. In fact, she gushed about him when I got home. She couldn’t believe how lovey and polite he was. She said she loved his energy and I think she was actually serious.

Awwww. I really love when strangers acknowledge what an awesome kid I have. Kind of needy and weird, I guess, but whatevs.
